Trip to Limehouse
November 13, 2024
Our Grade 2/3 students had an amazing outdoor adventure at Limehouse a couple of weeks ago! As part of their studies on soil, they explored the wonders of nature, searching for creatures and decomposers found in God's creation. It was a fun, hands-on learning experience that brought science to life!
Grandparents Day!
November 8, 2024
Yesterday, we had the joy of welcoming grandparents and special friends to our school for a morning filled with love and connection! Guests enjoyed a special assembly, visited classrooms, and shared a meal with our students. It was a beautiful time of celebration and community. Thank you to all who made the day so memorable!
Psalm of Lament
'In Grade Eight Bible class, we have been discussing what the purpose of pain in our lives is, and where God is when we hurt. We also talked about how acts of racism make us feel. We learned about how in the Bible, some of the deepest Psalms of worship came from a place of pain.
A lament Psalm is a type of prayer or song in the Bible where people talk to God about their feelings, especially when they're sad or upset about something. There are four parts to a lament psalm: address, complaint, petition, and reorientation. First, you start by saying 'hello' to God (address), then you tell Him what's making you sad (complaint), ask Him for help (petition), and finally remember that God loves you and will help you feel better (reorientation).
This is a lament Psalm our class wrote for Black History Month, with an address, complaint, petition, and reorientation. Through writing this psalm, we learned about how we can take our hurt, anger, and frustration to God and leave them at Jesus’ feet.'

Celebration of Learning
Project-based learning (PBL) is a teaching approach through which students gain knowledge and skills by working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to an engaging question, problem, or challenge.
We were so impressed by the broad range of projects and the depth of learning our JKCS students exhibited at this year's celebration!

Track & Field Day
What an awesome day!!
Bright blue skies and sunshine, students having a great time competing with their school 'Families', lots of athletes and spectators cheering one another on, a ton of smilies, only a couple of bandaids, and our volunteers - so great!
Happy Earth Day!
God created the heavens and the earth and at JKCS, we are learning to become good stewards of His beautiful world!

Remembrance Day
We had a very busy day yesterday taking part in Remembrance Day activities.
Ultimate Frisbee
Last week, students from Grade 7 & 8 participated in the Inaugural Ultimate Frisbee Tournament for our Christian Schools district. Despite the wind challenges as the day progressed, the students persevered and fought through some tough matches. After our round robin games, we placed 3rd out of 9 teams and advanced to the semi-finals to play against a tough squad from Halton Hills. It was a nail biter game that went to sudden death overtime, where we fell short in the end. This tournament was a fantastic experience for our first competition in the great sport of Ultimate Frisbee!"
A special thank you to Mr. Richardson for creating this awesome video!
JKCS Food Drive
Lots of excitement at our school this week as our food drive has grown larger and larger! Thankful for students who are excited to give to others. Donations will be given to #regenerationoutreach

Summer Projects Update
SUMMER 2021
As the summer winds down (far too quickly), plans are well underway to kick off the new School Year. We are excited and optimistic as we look ahead to another year of providing Christian Education in the City of Brampton. As we do so, we’d like to share an update on the work that’s been done around the school over the past two months to prepare our building to welcome our students back on September 7th.
