Hobbies/Interests/Family life:

I grew up in Brampton and attended JKCS as a child.

I come from a long line of teachers. My mother taught at JKCS from 1959 to 1995. I started in 1995 to the present. My dad was a high school teacher and my grandfather was a principal. People just expected me to become a teacher so I was not going to be one. I always enjoyed the time I spent with children and with so many examples of teachers in my life, I felt God pull me to become a teacher.

I love to travel and have been to many places throughout Europe, Canada, and the US. I enjoy all forms of art and when I have the time, do some painting (usually something with trees).  I enjoy the outdoors and like to go for walks or bike rides. Getting away at a cottage in the summer to relax is a highlight for me.  At home, I like to relax with a book, watch TV or a movie.

What do you love about JKCS?

The Christian community of believers that work together to make John Knox a great place to be a part of. The caring, supportive staff who put so much effort into what they do for the students. I love the opportunity to help children see God in all areas of life. Seeing the smiles on their faces as they learn about creation and help develop their place in God’s world.
