I went to Redeemer University in Ancaster for my undergrad and then to Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan for my teaching degree. I love the Arts, English and Communications. I have my Ontario College of Teachers and Christian School Teachers Certificate as well as my Christian School Principal Certificate.

I am married and have 2 wonderful children who are John Knox alumni. I grew up on a farm in Ingersoll Ontario, but I love living in the city. I love the people, the activity and the culture.

I started at John Knox in 1996 teaching part-time in grade 5 and since then have served as Vice Principal and Principal at the school.

It is my prayer that John Knox is a beacon for the Brampton community, that children are given opportunities to see the world through the eyes of faith, and then in turn grow and mature and find how they can contribute to the kingdom of God here on earth. What an awesome task! With a capable and dedicated team of admin, teaching and support staff, I look forward to seeing what God has in store for John Knox in the coming years.

As we look around at our broken world where there is sickness, pain, and injustice, as a school leader, I feel an even greater sense of responsibility for educating our students on how to show love and respect for others – in our world, in our cities, and in our classrooms. We want all of our students to feel loved and accepted – to be honoured for who God made them – and to have that same respect for all cultures and their unique heritage and histories.
